It dawned on me that I’ve been hearing that statement way too many times lately…so I need to vent! We’re ALL busy aren’t we? When’s the last time you thought ~ wow, I have nothing to do right now ~ can’t think of a thing ~ just sitting around ~ not at all busy? Probably not something that’s crossed your mind recently. But here’s the thing, don’t we make time for the things that are important to us? Don’t we accomplish what needs to be done? Aren’t we all pretty productive most of the time? So my complaint here is why do we complain about being busy? Why do we feel the need to tell everyone all the time “I’ve just been too busy”? And why do we say Yes to things if we really are too busy to do them? Take a deep breath, look around you, and decide if this is better than the alternative…then get back to work and take care of the things you promised others to do..

The author has an exercise to find out if you really can’t fit in all that you need to and you may find that you really do have the right to say “I’ve just been too busy…”
Thank you for listening, I feel much better now!
